Robert (Bob) Alva Childs was born March 20, 1969 to Richard G Childs and Patricia J Childs (Niemi).
The youngest of six children, Bob was raised and attended schools in the Mountlake Terrace and Snohomish areas. After a long illness, Bob passed away peacefully on August 17, 2015.
Bob grew up playing soccer and never lost interest in the game. He played outdoor soccer in his younger years and indoor soccer as an adult. He also enjoyed coaching his nephew’s teams. Bob was an avid bowler and bowled several times a week for most of his adult life. Golf was also a hobby he enjoyed when time allowed. He spent many years building and racing his prized Camaro.
Bob had a competitive side, but was never disrespectful to anyone he competed against on the bowling lanes or on the racetrack.
In 1990 he met and fell in love with his beloved life partner, Carole Gillespie (Tiede) and they both lived the rest of their lives devoted to one another. They enjoyed vacationing together and were blessed to have the opportunity to visit such places as Cost Rica and Dominican Republic. Bob and Carole shared a love of animals and raised many pets over the years.
Bob left behind his four legged children, Booker and Shadow; Bobby loved both with all his heart.
Bob liked going to concerts and mostly listened to Classic Rock. Bob very much enjoyed sports and was a devoted fan of his state teams. He began his career in the automotive parts industry in his early 20’s and held management positions with several automotive dealers in the Seattle area, the last several years spent with Performance Kia in Everett, a job he excelled at and truly enjoyed.
Bob considered his co-workers at Performance Kia his second Family.
Above all else, Bob loved time spent with his family. Bob’s nieces and nephews adored him, his siblings loved him and loved time spent with him. He was very easy going, humble, a kind and generous man that was loyal to his family. He was the kind of man that would put others needs before his own.
Bob was preceded in death by his longtime life partner Carole Gillespi (Tiede), his father Richard; mother Patricia, and older brother Timothy J Clark. Bob is survived by dad Jesse A Waller, brothers Tony Childs and Rick Childs, sisters Mikale Clark, Vicki Feenstra, and Brother In-law Ted.
