I am so sorry and sad to hear about the passing of undoubtedly the best boss I've ever worked for.  Although it's been over 20 years, I still remember the opportunities and kindnesses Bob showed me when he hired me for my very first "Executive 
Assistant" position.  He gave me a chance to prove myself even though I had NO experience as a secretary.  I was introduced to my first PC when I started working for him.
I remember his kindness, fairness, openmindedness, HUMOR, Humor and more Humor, attention to detail, his "style", his "potatoe with butterbuds" daily lunch, and of course his heartfelt laugh which made you definitely sit up and take notice if you were anywhere within earshot!

I truely feel honored to have worked for Bob and lucky that I worked for him at what I would consider the happiest and most fun timeframe of my life.  Thank you, Bob, for being who you are and sharing your gifts with all of us.

I pray for God's peace and strength for your family and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss of Bob. He was my favorite manager. He was so supportive, amazing at his job and was truly in the trenches with his team. One of my favorite memories was at the presidents club trip in Maui. I will remember him as he danced in a grass skirt with a coconut bra for the entire group. He always lit up the room with his bright personality.

Love lights this candle that will never be extinguished. This is for you, Dee, for comfort and in memory of Bob.

Thank you Denise, for finding Bob, falling in love and bringing him into your life, and especially for sharing him with us.  The many hours and days we spent together were very special and not having the ability to continue leaves a vast void in our lives, as with yours.  Every time we go to a wine tasting, concert, eat oysters or you ladies try another Martini we will be listening for that unique laugh because we know he will be looking down from that Fairway in the sky and enjoying the moments with us. Bob....such a delightful and warm  welcome to Airborne in Seattle when John and I moved there in 1985 and I thank you for every moment of your friendship, caring and empathy.  It simply continued throughout the years. I so admire the way your  Airborne people regard you....as a boss but also a friend.  I will always remember you and speak of you with smiles. I only knew Bob in Tucson when we played golf on Tuesdays.  He and I had many conversations about bridge and my abilities and his love of the game.  I admired his tenacity and competitiveness.  His demeanor always remained friendly no matter the situation.  His fight for life during this terrible cancer was memorable and I don't believe until the end that he ever thought he wasn't going to beat it someway.  He will be missed.
