Ronald Eugene Stout was born on July 1, 1941 at home in Oxford, KS. He preferred to be called Ron by his friends, but to family he was, and always will be, Ronnie. He said he knew he was in big trouble when his mom called him “Ronnie Gene”!
In 1955, his dad moved the family to the great northwest, first to Seattle then settling in Puyallup.
After graduation, Ron followed in the family tradition of working at Boeing. He worked at all three plants (Seattle, Renton and Everett), and later joined AOG, traveling across the country and abroad to repair planes.
In his younger years Ron had an assortment of “toys” – jeep, motorbike, snowmobile, horses, boats, campers – all of which were part of his great outdoor adventures. In his later years he slowed down a bit, building and flying remote control planes, but his love of fishing and crabbing never waned.
He loved to build things and enjoyed drawing up plans. Retaining walls, sheds (large and small), decks, bookshelves, cabinets – no project was too big or too small. His last project was a shed for Jennifer, built just 3 months before he passed away.
Ron had a green thumb and was known for his great tomato plants. But dahlias were his pride and joy.
Family was very important to Ron. He was so excited to become a dad, and he was devoted to Monica, Carl and Jenn, and later to Shayna and Madeline. His loyalty to friends was unwavering. His generosity to all was well known, always ready to help.
He is missed by all who loved him.
