Rosina C Knight

Rosina B Knight, Age 85 of Alderwood Manor, Washington. Passed Away Peacefully on March 28 2018, in Swedish hospital surrounded by her loving family. Our Mother was born in Rosenheim Germany on March seventh 1933 just as the clouds of a world war began to gather, she enjoyed a few short years of a normal childhood before the Second World War began in earnest destroying everything around them. Her father was drafted and killed in a Yugoslavian potato field while bringing a comrade water. Alone with her mother and brother they endured being shot at by American planes as she and her brother Karl walked to school, as well as bombings that lasted for seemingly ever,. they were later rounded up by The Nazis and not so kindly placed in the notorious death camp Auschwitz for disposal. to say they were beyond lucky is an understatement as a family friend was able to get them out. Our dear mother suffered from nightmares for the rest of her life from this time.

She was proceeded in death by her Father Karl Braunschober, mother Rosina B Huber, Brother Karl Braunschober, half-brother Hans Huber as well as husband Georg A Marez and husband George R Knight. Life was not done with hurting her as our Brother and her youngest son Rex H Chase suddenly passed away in December of 2010 at the age of 46.

She is survived by her children Sylvia Timmerman, Anthony Chase and Nickolas Chase. We moved to Seattle in 1970 where we grew roots and have been since. Mom loved baseball and spent many a game with husband George in the nosebleed section of the Kingdome. She loved her flowers and grew some of the most beautiful and fragrant Roses around, she liked Camping and fished all over Washington state with her family. She made friends easily with her sunny disposition and kindness to all.

We the surviving members of her family wish for all to know what a wonderful, kind, caring

person she was, Daughter Sylvia Timmerman, Sons Nickolas Chase and Anthony Chase

our spouses as well as her many grandchildren nephews and nieces invite all who knew her to our Moms Graveside services, to be held at Floral Hills Cemetery, 409 Filbert Road in Lynnwood WA June 8th 2018 at 2pm. private reception to be held afterwards.
