Ruth Lorraine Nestegard Stuvland

Ruth passed away on October 12, 2010. Born in 1924 to Len and Rosella Nestegard in Tacoma, Washington.

In her early years Ruth was a nurse. She went on to work as a secretary for Arrowhead School.

Ruth married Roy Stuvland in 1949. They were married for 49 years and had two sons, Mark and Greg. She and Roy had the best of times together. They enjoyed boating, dancing, and traveling. some of their best times were had when they took cruises with their friends and went on RV trips. The most memorable were to Alaska.

Ruth was a member of Northlake Lutheran Church. She loved gardening, volunteering at Northshore Senior Center, making jewelry, garage sales, and her beloved kitty Sarah.

Above all else, her life reflected a profound love for her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren gave her immense joy. She was so proud of each one of them. To know Ruth, to love and be loved by her, was a wonderful gift. She was a beautiful and graceful woman and friend to many. Her kind, caring and gentle demeanor will be remembered by all the lives she touched in her short 85 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy and survived by sons, Mark (Diane) and Greg (Nicki), Grandsons, Jason (Julie) and Ron, Great grandchildren, Aidan, Megan and Grady.

A celebration of life will be held at Wandering Creek Clubhouse on November 13, 2010 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

Remebrances can be made to Best Friends Animal Society.
