

She was born on October 10, 1952, in Carmel, California, the youngest twin daughter of C.L. and Laura (Wilkinson) Buckingham. She spent most of her childhood in Houston, Texas. She attended Rice Temple Baptist Church in Houston where she confessed her faith in Christ. Growing up, she was active in church activities and Girl Scouts. She graduated in 1971 from Lamar High School in Houston. She attended Houston Baptist College for a semester.
She married Glen Wayne Allbritton in Houston in 1983. One daughter, Amber Elizabeth, was born to them. Mr. Allbritton served in the United States Navy and the family was last stationed on Whidbey Island, Washington. They later divorced.
Sally later worked for Northwest Realty Advisors and Puget Western, Inc. until her death.
Sally was blessed with two granddaughters, and she kept up with their activities.
She enjoyed being an active member of several lineal societies since 2006, as her maternal family immigrated to America in 1746 from Belfast, Ulster, Ireland, and they helped settle America and served in the Revolutionary War. Her English ancestors immigrated to America in 1658 and settled in Virginia. Her membership societies were National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, National Society Daughters of American Colonists, United States Daughters of 1812, and The National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century. She was immensely proud of her ancestry and served on several committees in each society. Her dedication to Historic Preservation, Education and Patriotism was long withstanding.
Sally sat on the Seattle Symphony Board of Directors for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Amber Elizabeth Christopher and her husband, Daniel, two granddaughters, Eleanor Rose and June Rose, Portland, Oregon. Her twin sister, Nancy Williams and nephew, Herbert Michael Shanks, Jr, of Manhattan, Kansas. Her Buckingham nieces and nephews, San Antonio, Texas, and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her one stillborn child, Taylor, three stepbrothers and her parents.
Celebration of Life services will be held at Purdy & Walters Funeral Home at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Rd., Lynnwood, Washington 98036-4934 on Friday, April 17th at 1:00 pm.
