

Born in Aberdeen, Washington on June 11, 1927 to John and Beatrice Gray, Virginia was a graduate of Shelton High School in Shelton, Washington. As a young adult, Virginia traveled by train to the East Coast to visit family, and attended College of William & Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia. She continued to tell stories of this trip later in her life. Upon returning from this trip she started dating her lifelong love, Clarence “Buzz” Wilson. They were married on August 28, 1948.
Virginia was a homemaker, and had many hobbies including curling, sewing and playing bridge, and developed a wide circle of friends around these activities. Her greatest love was sewing. She briefly held a position at a Men’s Fine clothing store working with a tailor and doing alterations, developing her sewing skills. She created many treasured items for friends and family throughout her life.
Virginia enjoyed traveling in retirement, and especially her trips to Hawaii, Europe and a cruise taken with friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence "Buzz" Wilson, and her brother John Gray. She is survived by her brother, Warren Gray; her children: Danni Wilson, Rick (Amy) Wilson and Robert (Tamara) Wilson; as well as 7 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Floral Hills Cemetary, followed by burial and graveside services at 2:00 pm.
