

Lucille Yeomans Fowler, 97, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Banks officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home or may be contacted at the residence of Dean and Cindy Fowler. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.
Mrs. Fowler was born in Alamo, Georgia to the late Charlie Stephen and Alice Clark Yeomans. She is preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Ottis Fowler, her sons, Solomon Fowler, Jr., Clifton M. Fowler and Dealous T. Fowler and her granddaughter, Lisa Dumas. Mrs. Fowler was a member of the Gray Church of God and the Adult Sunday School Class and the Senior Citizens Council. She was a wonderful cook and was famous for her “Chicken and Dumplings”, sewing, crocheting and playing the guitar and loved playing board games with her family. Mrs. Fowler was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her children, Dallas R. (Sandra) Fowler, Sr. of Macon, Jean (Harvey) Majors of Nashville, TN., Dean (Cindy) Fowler of Macon, daughter-in-laws, Doris Fowler of Gray and Diane Fowler of Crawfordville, FL, and sister, Colene Ledford of Orlando, FL , 19 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 29 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
