Andy Eugene Cook, 57, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Andy was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Jeff D. and Evelyn Russell Cook. He was a graduate of Georgia College and received a degree in Nursing. Andy served as a Registered Nurse for thirty seven years in hospitals, nursing facilities and hospice facilities in Macon. Known for his kindness, generosity and sense of humor, Andy cared deeply about his patients, friends and family and especially his loving mother, Evelyn. His service to the medical community, his devotion to his friends and his gentle kindness will be missed by many.
He is survived by his brother, Dr. Tom (Gina) Cook of Signal Mountain, TN, nieces; Dr. Kelly Cook of Takoma Park, MD, Lesley Nunn of Ooltewah, TN, Casey Cook of Dalton, GA, Katy (Reid) Whittle of Hixson, TN, Laura Casurella of Chattanooga, TN, several great nieces and nephews.
