Annette Amerson Hitchcock, 80, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Nall officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201.
Mrs. Hitchcock was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Roy T. and Eddith Addleton Amerson. She was a member of Ocmulgee East Blvd. Baptist Church and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. Mrs. Hitchcock was an avid Avon collector. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband of fifty nine years, Tommy Lee Hitchcock of Macon, son, Bruce Lee (Marsha) Hitchcock of Titusville, FL, daughter, LeeAnn Hitchcock Bates of Macon, four grandchildren, Brad (Paige) Hitchcock, Laura (Bryan) Ryals, Kristy (Jason) Humphrey, and Heather Hitchcock, and five great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Jane McCoy of Warner Robins and Cynthia Roberson of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
