

Annie Kate McKenzie-Banks, born on April 14, 1958 in Perry, GA the oldest of seven children. At 6 years old the Family moved to Miami, FL. At an early age Annie became a devoted big sister acting as her sibling’s mother. In 1970, the Lord called her mother home the late Ernestine Fleming to rest, Annie was 12 years old. Their grandmother the late Gussie Lee McKenzie became their devoted mother.
Annie attended school at Lillie C. Evans Elementary School and Norland High School. In 1976 she graduated from Kentucky Job Corps where she was voted most likely to succeed. In 1976, Annie was employed at Sears and Roebucks at North Side Shopping Center in Miami, FL. In 1979, Annie received her Nursing License and landed a job at Jackson Heights Nursing Home, where she was very devoted, loving and kind to all her patients. During this time she met her husband, Calvin Banks. In 1985, her sister the late Tangela Flemming went home to be with the Lord. Annie being a devoted sister stepped up and took on the responsibility of raising her sister’s daughter as her own. In 1990, Annie Kate McKenzie surrendered her life to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, she was a member at God’s Abundance Grace Ministries. In 1998, Calvin and Annie married in Holy Matrimony and began their union, and he became a devoted father to Chakita. In 2007, Annie and Calvin moved back to GA.
On Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 6:15 p.m.
the Lord called Annie home to rest in his loving arms.

She also leaves a Host of Loving Relatives and Friends.
