Anthony “Tony” Butler Caldwell Sr. 85, of Macon, Georgia passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, he was the son of the late Claude Alfred Caldwell and Pearl Butler Mozeak. He worked for the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department for 10 years and served as president of the Georgia State Firefighters Union.
Mr. Caldwell was a retired counselor with the Georgia Department of Labor.
After his retirement, he and his wife relocated to Tennessee where he enjoyed working part-time at DollyWood.
Tony was a huge fan of the Atlanta Falcons, the Georgia Bulldogs, the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Hawks. He rarely missed a game on TV with his wife, Sheila.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sheila Caldwell. Children, Tony Caldwell Jr. (Kim), Ben Caldwell (Julie) and Jonathan Moore Caldwell. Grandchildren, Butler Caldwell (Marie), Dylan Caldwell, Micah Caldwell (Katie), Luke Caldwell, and Jake Caldwell. Great grandchildren, Anthony Caldwell IV, Jude Caldwell, and Willa Caldwell. Siblings, Eugene Butler, Mike Huisman, Roni Winslow, and Tom Mozeak. Sisters-in-law, Betty Parker and Diane Rankin.
