Arthur “Butch” Coy Gunnells, Jr. 78, of Lizella, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in the chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home at 10 :00 a.m. Pastor Paul Dziadul will officiate. Family will greet friends following the service.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Arthur Coy Gunnells Sr. and Flora Carter Gunnells, and preceded in death by a brother, Billy Edwards. He was a truck driver for Southeastern Freight with 20 plus years of service.
Mr. Gunnells was of the Baptist faith and a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jackie Gunnells, children, Melissa Moulton (Drake), Shea Leigh Crosby (Nevada), Shannon Gunnells, Pam Watson (Mike), Patti True (Dan); Ten grandchildren and Nine great grandchildren; sister, Diane McDaniel (Jim).
Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
