Barbara Ivey, 79, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 surrounded by her family. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Len Woodard officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Earl Griffin and her daughter, Debra Jo Davis. She was retired from Hillcrest Cleaners where she was the owner and operator for thirty years. She was a die-hard Elvis Presley and Atlanta Braves fan. Her favorite hobby was to read, so much that she had a $3000.00 credit at Gottwals Bookstore.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years who dedicated the last 3 years to her daily care, Johnny Ivey, son, Michael Bennett Bond, step-daughters, Angela Ivey Bullock (Clint), and Lisa Ivey, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and her best friend, Karen Harper.
