Betty Smith Dugger, 85, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 21, 2025 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home where the family asks that those in attendance please wear colorful, springlike attire. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Entombment will be private in the Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum. Dr. Mark Hudgins will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to United in Pink, 1415 Bass Road, Suite B, Macon 31210 or Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon 31210.
Betty was born on March 25, 1940 the daughter of the late Floyd and Esther McCray Smith and was the widow of Ferrell Brooks Dugger, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ferrell Brooks "Doug" Dugger, III and 11 of her siblings. Betty was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and a member of Ingleside Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Dawn Dugger (Pat) Peterson; daughter, Dee Dugger Kelly; son, Dustin (Lynn) Dugger; grandchildren, Lauren Covington, Kyle Dugger, Cole Agnew, Lane and Mason Kelly, Ashlyn and Erin Dugger; great grandchildren, Reese and Blakely Covington, Kylar Dugger; and a great host of extended family and friends.
