My condolences to the family of Pastor Billy..I first met him when he would come to Living Waters Church  . Everyone would be happy and excited to see him. Then some years later I was at Macedonia  Church  also in  Macon  Again so  much joy when he would come in. He exuded Joy. The Joy of the Lord is his strength. I will miss him.

A real God man who through it all learn to trust in Jesus he learned to trust in God. Through it all he learned to depend upon God's word. Thank you Lord for allowing us to get to know him on earth in his time here. Brother Billy we will get to enjoy eternity with Jesus and you and all those you helped by The Holy Spirit to come to Know our Lord. Blessings and grace on all the family in your time of departure. In our last visit with him our daughter Teri was and is strengthed by his fellowship prayers. Thank you for being the man of God you are!!!

If you ever got to know Mr. Billy, you would understand what unconditional love truly feels like. He was a man of remarkable kindness and unwavering support, embodying the very essence of compassion.

Mr. Billy was the one who would sit with me at the synagogue when no one else would, offering me companionship and solidarity during moments of solitude. His presence was a source of comfort and strength, a silent assurance that I was not alone.

His prayers for me were countless, each one a testament to his deep care and concern for my well-being. He would lift me up in his thoughts, invoking blessings and protection with a sincerity that was deeply moving.

But Mr. Billy's influence extended beyond mere presence and prayers. He generously shared with me the secrets of the Bible, imparting wisdom and insights that deepened my understanding and connection to my faith. His teachings were not just about the words in the holy text, but about the profound truths that lay within them, truths that guided and inspired me.

In every interaction, Mr. Billy demonstrated what it meant to love unconditionally. His actions were a reflection of a heart that knew no bounds, a heart that embraced others with genuine warmth and affection. His legacy is one of love, faith, and unwavering support, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

You will be immensely missed, Mr. Billy. This evening, as I gazed at the stunning sunset and the vibrant rainbow that graced the sky, I felt a profound sense of peace. It was as if nature itself was offering a beautiful assurance that you had made it home.

I would like to say to all of the Abney family that can't be there. My great uncle Billy was a man of dedication, filed with happiness, joy and love. I could talk to him for hours at a time. He was a great Uncle, mentor, paster, Christian and my friend. We will never forget you Uncle Billy. I am so glad that he was such a special person in my life. He taught me so much. He didn't just touch me, he touched everyone he knew. We will all miss you. To all of the immediate family, I am so sorry for your loss, but this a time for celebration. Uncle Billy, I will see you again. We will miss you Uncle Billy. I am praying for all of you. I love all of you.

Brother Billy Abney was brilliant in speaking about God's Word.
To be able to translate Greek in the way you could understand.
He was faithful to our Lord to the very end.  He will be truly missed by many people.  He touched many people's lives and made a great impact.  He will be truly missed in our Here's Life Meetings.

I am sorry to hear that Pastor Billy has passed.   Pastor Billy is one of the kindest souls I have met, always full of wisdom and generosity pouring forth from him.  I remember he would take any(and every) opportunity to share and encourage young people to continue their walk with The Lord.  I remember he would take the time to check in with me at service and he was always available to help and guide me through different life challenges while pointing me towards The Lord.  I am sure that many people (young and/or old) share a similiar experience.  I will miss him.   His personality, passion, and heart for God is forever etched in the memories of countless individuals.  May God give your entire family His peace, love, and strength during this difficult time.

Ruth and family of Pastor Billy, please accept my condolences. I am honored to have known this great man of God and have been blessed by him in so many ways. He's affectionately dubbed by me as my "Mercer Buddy". He will be greatly missed and I'm glad I had many years with him, and time this past year. He wanted to go home and finally God allowed it and received him. I don't doubt that he will hear "Well done, good and faithful servant." That he was! As far as I'm concerned, he stood as a giant in the faith, just as tall if not taller than the other well-known evangelists/preachers. Le'hitra'ot my buddy! This is Hebrew for "See you later" as he and I never said good-bye when parting. I'll miss you my buddy and see you on the other side! Denise

Billy's  life had a lot of ups and downs but his love for his family and Jesus was never questioned.  The world was a better place because of Billy.

I had the honor of being with him at Beth Yeshua, and he always greeted all he came in contact with a smile and a big hug.

Rev. Billy Abney and I met when his 2nd wife was a hospice patient.  He became a  friend for the next 20 plus years.  He attended a Tuesday bible study at Living Waters Fellowship for decades.  His knowledge of Greek gave us timely insights into God's Word. Having lost three wives and several adult children  was horrific for him, but he was strong because of God's grace in his life!  He will be sorely missed, but if he came back from heaven, he would not want to stay here .  I will treasure my memories of him as long as I live.

Brother Billy will be, forever, a fond memory. He has a special place in my life… from being used by the Holy Spirit to hook my spirit, to his loud giggles and hollers from the bema & his sparkling eyes of the joy in the LORD… with encouragement whenever crossing his path! 🫶🏼

I didn't know you but I wish I had. I'm coming to BYI but I didn't get there before you left. Much wisdom has left this world in your passing. Enjoy your eternity!
