Bishop James Bundrige, 76, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 10:00am at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Log Cabin Drive. Brother Lars Kortes will officiate and burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their residence.
Mr. Bundrige was born in Devereux, Georgia to the late Glenn and Mildred Bundrige Hearns and was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jeff Hearns, sister, Lillian Norwood and grandson, Chandler Reid. He was a welder with Transco and retired from Rescar, and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Shaylor Bundrige; children, Chinetta (Darry) Smith, Novetta (Kevin) Reid, DeAnna (Travis) Rucker and Jolyon (Taneeka) Bundrige; grandchildren, Trevor (Erin) Bundrige, Chaz Rucker, MiCaila Reid, Treylan Rucker and Trent Rucker; siblings, James (Leila) Burney, Amanda Nivens and Joe (Sharon) Hearns; stepmother, Emma Bundrige; brother-in-law, Ulysees Norwood; and a host of uncles and cousins.
