Carl Lofton Rountree

Carl Lofton Rountree, age 63, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. A visitation for Carl will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Snow's Funerals and Cremations at Macon Memorial Park, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31204. A memorial service will occur Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31204. A committal service will occur at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31204.

Carl’s life was a shining example of hard work and determination. He was born in Macon, GA to the late Ernest and Madeline Rountree. His natural mechanical ability, propensity for organization and strong work ethic were evident from a young age. He spent his career at Moore Tire and Supply Company and was a dedicated and loyal employee. If he told you he was going to do something, he was extremely diligent in making sure the task was completed correctly and promptly. His faith was nurtured at St Joseph Catholic Church in Macon, Ga, where he was baptized and raised.

Carl loved his family and found joy spending time with them, especially his great nieces and nephews. He had a natural ability with any pet. His most admirable trait was his ability to love. He took every opportunity to make new friends and help his neighbors, from cleaning up their yards, to helping his elderly neighbors with their mail, trash and keeping their lawns cleaned up and making sure their homes stayed safe while they were away. He was always available with guidance to those needing plumbing and electrical advice. He was extremely organized and always knew exactly where to find something.

Carl is survived by his brothers, Curt (Charlene) Rountree of Greensboro, GA and Chris Rountree of Macon, GA, his nieces Rebekkah (Jeff) Poston, Kaitlyn (Austin) Torrey, Bethany Rountree, Breanna (Stephen) Parker, his nephew Benjamin (Lauren) Rountree and his great nieces, & nephews.
