

Charles “Chuck” Robert Taylor, 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 8, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at New Heights Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. David Garrett officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Chuck was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Walter Eugene and Susie Singletary Taylor. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Marshall Green and Johnny Smith, four sisters and three brothers. He served his country as a proud Marine for thirty years and earning two purple hearts and a silver star for his bravery. Chuck was retired from Equifax as an investigator and was a member of New Heights Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed traveling and loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Joyce Horton Taylor of Macon, sons, Mike (Elizabeth) Taylor of Macon, Kris (Jerry) Moore of Snellville, Richard (Gina) Green of Jeffersonville, daughter-in-law, Dianah Smith, grandchildren, Jessamy (Justin) Jacques, Jay (Emily) Moore, Kassi (Kevin) Churchwell, Laci (Alexis) Boyd, Jessica (Jason) Moss, Rachel Holliday, great grandchildren, John and Taylor Jacques and Charlie and Tommy Jackson, Shaye Grimes (Kenny Lynn), Nicolas Moss, Jordan Moss, Reagan Holliday and great great grandchild, Wrenlee Lynn and numerous nieces and nephews.
