Charles M. Vissage

Charles Milton Vissage, 87, passed away on September 13, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Cile Mitchell officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the chapel. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Charles was born in Macon, GA to the late Milton Brown Vissage and Sarah Ruth Copeland. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Kersey. He served his country in the United States Marines and was retired from the Air National Guard after thirty seven years of service. He was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, Frank Harris Sunday School Class and the Busy Bees. Charles was a volunteer with Northside Rehabilitation for seventeen years, Citizens on Patrol, and Neighborhood Watch Committee. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of sixty-three years, Alice Vissage; children, Lisa (Paul) Lovelace, Charlotte (Josh) Wilkie, and Lori (Cliff) Watson; grandchildren, Mariah (Devansh) Gupta, Greg Lovelace, Zac (Cait) Lovelace, Alysia (Kris) Johnson, Abigail Lovelace, William Watson, and Andrew Lovelace; great grandchildren, Payton Mitchell, Michael Johnson and Virginia Lovelace, brothers, William Vissage and Johnny (Becki) Vissage, several nieces and nephews.
