Charlotte Johnson Moody

Ethel Charlotte Johnson Moody, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, with her family by her side. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ingleside Baptist Church. The family will greet friends on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon GA 31204. Those serving as pallbearers, Shawn Moody, Roger Birdsong, Gene Johnson, Shane Haygood, David Brown and honorary, Noah Birdsong.

Charlotte was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Jesse Bernard and Ethel Mae Pender Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Russell Moody, siblings, J.B. Johnson Jr., Raymond Johnson, Aldine Johnson and Eugene Johnson. Charlotte was a 1945 graduate of Miller High School and worked at Robins Air Force Base as a secretary until she became a mother. She was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and a member of the Kate Davis Sunday School Class. Charlotte was the past state president of the Homemakers Association and the Greenbriar Homemakers Association. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, working puzzles and gardening. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Tommy) Alston of Macon, Russell (Priscilla) Moody of Moultrie, grandchildren, Emily (Roger) Birdsong of Macon, Sarah (Shevin) Weinstein of Atlanta, Shawn Moody of Moultrie, great grandchildren, Noah and Hampton Birdsong, sister, Ellen Haygood of Warner Robins and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to her caregivers, Jessica Friedland and Frankie Jackson, as well as Georgia Hospice Partners, for their exceptional care.
