

Clinton Jerry Watson, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 3, 2013. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will meet friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Gary Milton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northway Church, Building Fund, 5915 Zebulon Road, Macon GA 31210.
Mr. Watson was born in Tampa, FL to the late Clinton David and Doris McCook Watson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Dupree. He served in the United States Army and was a graduate of the first class of Macon Junior College; he later earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Macon State College. He was retired as a chief clerk from Norfolk Southern, where he also served on the Supervisory Committee with Brosnan Yard Credit Union. Jerry was a member of Northway Church and the Gary Milton Small Group. He was very active in the Georgia Bowling Association and was Secretary of the Monday Smoke Free bowling league. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of forty eight years, Juanita Stanley Watson of Macon, daughter, Tammie (Billy) Adams of Leeds, AL, son, Kevin (Shannon) Watson of Juliette, GA, grandchildren, Stacy (Joseph) Burnsed of Pelham, AL, William (Stephanie) Adams, Jr. of Birmingham, AL, two great grandchildren, Jackson Monroe Burnsed of Pelham, AL and Maddox Suddeth of Byron, GA, sisters, Peggy (James) Elsasser of Chamblee, GA and Bonnie (Jimmy) Wilson of Millington, TN and several nieces and nephews.
