Daniel “Dan” Ray Wade, 60, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends and family from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Dan was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Daniel Emory and Mary Cooper Wade and was preceded in death by a brother, Michael L. Samford. He was employed with the Bibb County Board of Education as a Campus Police Officer for twenty three years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Grimsley Wade of Eatonton, GA, son, Daniel “Steve” (Heather) Wade of Eatonton, GA, grandson, Zebulon Alexander Wade of Eatonton, GA, brother, Dudley B. (Lucy) Samford, Jr. of Loganville, GA, sister, Carolyn Samford Sanders of Johns Creek, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
