David Martin was born on January 18, 1931 to Domingos Martin and Emma Lee Causey (deceased) and had five sisters and two brothers (all deceased). He died at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia on Saturday, May 21, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joyce Ketterbaugh Martin; two children: Ron Martin (Tracy) and Lisa Martin Askew (Jim); six grandchildren: Christy Askew Coryell (Philip), Jonathon Martin (Becky), Brittany Askew Toler (Matthew), Jacob Martin (Molly), Heather Askew Wainwright (Conor), and Haley Martin Ensle (Jack); and three great-grandchildren: Ben & Clark Ensle (Haley & Jack) and Rowan Martin (Jonathon & Becky).
David was a graduate of Lanier High School and served nine years in the Georgia National Guard. He was retired from AT&T Telephone Company and also owned and operated Martin Rubber Stamp and Engraving Company for thirty years. He was a devoted family man, a Christian, and a member of Northridge Baptist Church. He will be missed greatly by all of his family.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 11:00AM in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens, 3225 Joycliff Road, Macon, GA 31211. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM to service time at the cemetery.
The family welcomes donations to a medical expense fund for Clark Ensle, David Martin's great-grandson, as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
