

Mr. Lewis Dean Fellows, 71, died just before noon on Friday, December 11, 2015, at his residence, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock, on Monday, December 14, in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. His nephew, Rev. Paul Strozier will officiate, with Rev. Charles Carter assisting. The family will greet friends at the funeral home for an hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery’s Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 6611 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31220.
Mr. Fellows was born in Macon, Georgia to the late R.C. and Myrtice Fellows. He graduated from Willingham High School, class of 1963. Dean retired from Inland Container and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He loved his yardwork and Atlanta Braves baseball. Reading the paper’s Daily Prayer started his day. He cherished time with his family, and “GranDean” was the biggest fan of his grandchildren’s sports teams. Mr. Fellows is preceded in death by his sister, Maudie Lou Strozier, a brother, Gary Fellows, and a son in law, Pringle Williams.
Left to carry his legacy are his wife of 51 years, Judy Self Fellows; daughters, Debra (Scott) Carter, Carol (Tim) Thomas; grandchildren, Zack Carter, Hope and Alli Williams, Connor and Greer Thomas; brother, Russell (Patsy) Fellows; brother in law, Alex Strozier; sister in law, Jackie Fellows; brother in law, Dr. Stanley (Patricia) Self.
