Donald “Donnie” Pace Lindsey, 73, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. The family will greet friends on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. A Celebration of His Life will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Corbitt officiating. Burial will be private for the family only at Georgia Veterans Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, Building Fund, 365 Pea Ridge Road, Juliette, GA 31046.
Donnie was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Thomas A. and Hattie Pace Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Turner Tribble, Alonzo Lindsey, and Ronnie Lindsey. Donnie served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He was retired after forty years of service with Georgia Power Company and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-two years, Cheryl Lindsey of Juliette; daughters, Denise Lindsey of Juliette, Amy (Stephen) Roeser of Forsyth, Tina (Jason) Ward of Forsyth; grandchildren, Mac Roeser, Piper Roeser, Samantha Roeser, Pace Ward and Jude Ward; sister, Angela Ivester of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.
