Macon, GA—Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” J. Ryles, 60, died in the early morning on Friday, December 27, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 11 o’clock, Monday, December 30, in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Fuller will officiate. The family will receive friends at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 4 until 6 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to All About Animals Macon, 101 Riverside Drive, Macon, GA 31201.
Mrs. Ryles, daughter of the late Charlie and Lille Mae Clark Jones, was born in Macon. She graduated from Dudley Hughes High School, and was a receptionist for the cardiac unit of the Medical Center of Central Georgia. “Dot” was a member of Midway Baptist Church and had a great love for animals; supporting no kill shelters in the area. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, JR “Sweetie” Jones, and a son, Anthony Paul Joyner.
Surviving Mrs. Ryles are her husband of 43 years, Frankie Ryles; daughter, Delana (Preston) Curlee; sisters, Janet (Butch) Kirkland, Gayle (Jack) Riddle; and nephews, Mark (Kristie) Friar, Kelly (Sunshine) Riddle, Shannon Riddle, Daryl Jones.
