Edna Parker Youmans, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, April 11, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Lyles officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday night from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home.
Edna was born in Haynesville, Georgia to the late Jesse and Ida Hamsley Parker and was preceded in death by her sons, George and Joseph Youmans and siblings, Martha Fletcher, James Parker and George Youngblood. She was a Supervisor at Southern Bell and a member of Lakeshore Community Church in Eatonton, Georgia. Edna was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the Red Hat Society and enjoyed playing Canasta. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Fred Youmans; sons, Lee Youmans and Brian (Cathy) Youmans; grandchildren, Becky, Lizzie, Amanda and Allison; and brother, Robert (Pat) Parker.
