LIZELLA – Edward Jerry Connell, 64, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at his residence. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Dr. Billy Sharpston officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Connell, son of the late James Edward Connell and Nina Edge Hendricks, was born in Bartow County and had worked as a mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Bass Club fishing group.
Survivors include his daughters, Cathy (Garold) Horn of Fountain Hill, AR, Serina Elsasser of Macon and Amy (Michael) Handley of Warner Robins; six grandchildren, Devin Horn, Brittany Elsasser, Savannah Horn, Paula Elsasser, Wesley Handley, Willow Handley; two brothers, Garland (Vi) Connell of Twiggs County and Donnie (Kathy) Connell of Gray; his sister, Janice Smith of Rex, GA and several nieces and nephews.
