Elizabeth Anne Curry Hooton, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 4, 2013 in the St. Francis Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Ben R. Wells will officiate. The family will greet friends on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, Daughters of the King, 432 Forest Hill Road, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Hooton was born in Dublin, Georgia the daughter of the late Eloise Elizabeth Dominy Curry and Clarence Earl Curry. She was the widow of William “Bill” Hooton and was preceded in death by her brothers, Luther Curry, John Curry and Frank Curry, a sister, Edna Earl Phillips. Mrs. Hooton was a faithful member of St. Francis Episcopal Church, a devoted member of the Daughters of the King and was a wonderful, loving mom and a friend to many. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base as a contracting officer.
She is survived by her children, William Stinson of Macon, Kelly Stinson of Macon, Rick Stinson of Macon, and Rusty Stinson of Macon, step-son, Billy Hooton.
