Florine Phillips, 89, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, November 3, 2016. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Richard Lanning officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 5901 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd #A, Atlanta, GA 30328 and the Methodist Children’s Home, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, 31204.
Florine was born in Crawford County, Georgia to the late J. Daniel and Julia Hartley Pearson. She was a homemaker, a school board member and a small business owner. Florine was a member of Ingleside United Methodist Church for 63 years and loved her church family. She was a very compassionate person, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, J. Harold Phillips; children, Connie (Lynn) Hayes, Jay (Meagan) Phillips, and Julie Phillips; grandchildren, Philip Hayes, Michelle Hayes, Kylie Phillips, and Pierce Phillips; and her sister, Betty Oliver; and several nieces and nephews.
