Floyd F. Webb, 89, died peacefully at Bolingreen Health & Rehab on October 3, 2015 after an extended illness. Born in Pontiac, Michigan on July 21, 1926, he was the son of the late Betty R. Webb and Floyd B. Webb.
Floyd was a member of Mabel White Baptist Church, active in Sunday School, and longtime church usher. He was a retired Bibb County Deputy Sheriff, an Army Veteran, and a Mason and Shriner.
Mr. Webb is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Wagnon and Sara Williams (Lewis); niece, Betty Atkins (William, Jr.); great-niece, Julie King (Mark); great-nephew, William Akins, III (Karen); 4 great-great-nephews, Owen, Myles, Henry, and Oliver.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral
home. Dr. Lee Sheppard will officiate. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
