Grace Knight Martin

Grace Knight Martin, 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Aubrey Sheats and Dr. Neal Wall officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church, Building Fund, 5925 Price Road, Macon GA 31210.

Mrs. Martin was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Willie C. and Gussie Jackson Knight. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold C. Knight and James A. Knight. Mrs. Martin was a former member of Cherokee Heights Baptist Church for many years and served on the Benevolent Committee, she was a very active member of Bellevue Baptist Church and a member of the Pathfinders Sunday School Class. Mrs. Martin was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Franklin “Jack” Martin of Macon, two sons, Jim (Fran) Martin of Macon, Dale (Sharon) Martin of Macon, five grandchildren, Alex (Heather) Martin, Craig (Summer) Martin, Tyler Martin, Colby Martin and Trinity Martin, three great grandchildren, Grace, Madelyn and Callie Martin, and several nieces and nephews.
