Grover “Dean” Phillips, 78, passed away on March 1, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Phillips was born in Macon to the late Grover Cleveland Phillips, Jr. and Margaret Laramore Adams. He was a Dealer for Snap-on Tools before retiring from Thompson Lift Truck as a Master Forklift Machine Mechanic. Mr. Phillips was a proud veteran of The United States Army and a member of the Mabel Lodge #255. He was a charter member of the Fort Valley Gun Club and the NRA. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret (Bitsy) Phillips and niece, Ellen NeSmith.
Survivors include his loving wife, Adelia Phillips; son, Stuart Wesley Phillips; brother, David “Tuffy” Phillips; sister, Virginia Phillips (Billy Dorn); nieces and nephews, Charlotte Watson, Jeff NeSmith (Jenifer), Hope Kilgore (Greg), and Michael Phillips (Donna); great nieces and nephew, Regan Kilgore, Adam Phillips and Noel Phillips; and numerous relatives in Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Masonic Home of Georgia, 1417 Nottingham Drive, Macon, GA 31211.
