Helen H. Wilkes, 90, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 after a brief illness in the hospital. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating.
Helen was born in Bibb County, on May 22, 1927 the daughter of the late Horace and Nellie Horton. She married her one and only love John Wilkes in 1944 and dedicated her life to being a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She affected everyone in a loving and giving way. Helen was also an Inventory Management specialist at Robins Air Force Base and retired in 1987 after 27 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Wilkes, grandson, John M. Wilkes and granddaughter, Brandee Johnson.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, John Wilkes, sons; Michael Wilkes, Eric (Diane) Wilkes, and daughter, Cheryl (Tommy) McLendon, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
