Hugh Alexander Lewis, Jr., 96 passed away on Wednesday May 17, 2023. A Celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park with Reverend Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Hugh was born in Sparta, Georgia to the late Hugh Alexander Lewis, Sr. and Sara Chamberlin Lewis and was preceded in death by his son, David N. Lewis; siblings, Martha L. Ouimette, Sara L. Luckessie, Jim Lewis, Sam Lewis, and Gary Lewis; and daughter-in-law, Frances E. Lewis. Hugh served in the United States Air Force and retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Tool & Die Maker.
He is survived by his wife, Alma L. Lewis; son, Kenneth M. Lewis; grandchildren, Joseph L. Lewis, and Ashley L. Whittington; great grandchildren, Josh D. Wilkes, Jr., and Cecilia Whittington; sisters, Dorothy L. Harrouk (Farrouk), and Barbara Ann Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Snow’s Funerals and Cremations @ Macon Memorial Park has charge of arrangements.
