Ina G. Johnson

Ina G. Johnson, 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 surrounded by her family. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201 or Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 200 SE First St., Suite 800, Miami FL 33131.

Ina was born in Arley, AL to the late Clinton and Evelyn Tingle Gibson. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Johnson and brother, Glenn Gibson. She was a member of Vineville Baptist Church and was a dedicated worker in the nursery at the church for many years and was known as “Mrs. Ina”. She was also known for sending cards to all her family and friends on various occasions. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her children; Paula Johnson Arnold, Donna Johnson Stamper, Susan Johnson Brady, and Michael Wade Johnson, grandchildren; Crystle Stamper, Tiffany Stamper, Amber Pope, Mandy Talley and Brittany Hendricks, four great grandchildren and sister, Karen Gail Gibson.
