James C. Harris, Sr., 86, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Micah Carr officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Face mask and social distancing are required.
James was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Jake and Clyde Causey Harris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Malloy Harris. James was self employed as a Masonary finisher and farmer. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his daughter, Betty Ann Williamson, grandchildren, Jessica (Phil) Daugherty, Pamela Bender and Katherine Cranshaw, great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Skylar, Kayla, Mason and Jacob, sister, Shirley (Larry) Morgan.
