James Jackson “Jack” Hinson, 85, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021. A graveside service will be on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverdale Cemetery, Columbus, GA with Lee Wagner officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Jack was born in Dothan, AL to the late Theodore Ward and Nettie Lou Hinson. He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Jack was retired as a Conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was of the Methodist faith and was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Lisa (Wallace) Green of Senoia, Ted (Lynn) Hinson of Macon; grandchildren, Blake Green, Jamie Green, Lyndsey Hinson and Logan Hinson; sister, Patricia Goodman (Frank) of Columbus; and his companion, Connie Stewart-Ferguson of Eatonton. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sara Smith and Betty Hancock.
