James M. Lavender, Jr., 65, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Lake W. Greene, III officiating. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Lavender was born in Macon, GA to the late James M. and Mary Corbin Lavender, Sr. He served in the United States Air Force and worked for several different printing companies before retiring from Digital Data. James was active in the Macon Little Theatre and was an artist and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Lavender was a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his sister; Sherry (Lake) Greene, Jr., of Fort Valley, GA , nephew; Lake W. Greene, III and niece; Crystal (Ken) Greene Pittman, and several cousins.
