

JULIETTE – Jamie Luther Worley, 80, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at his home with his family at his side. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., May 27, 2011, Friday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Mark Hudgins will officiate. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to service time on Friday at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish make memorial contributions to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon, GA 31210.
Mr. Worley, son of the late Smith Worley, Sr. and Eugenia Drennan Worley, was born in Aiken County, SC and served with the U. S. Air Force attaining the rank of Captain. He was a graduate of Clemson University earning two Bachelor’s Degrees in Agricultural Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Mr. Worley was an electrical engineer retired from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Brotherhood Sunday School Class. One of Mr. Worley’s favorite pastimes was as a member of the R.O.M.E.O. Group.
He was devoted to his family who survive him, his wife of twenty-five years, Delores C. Worley of Juliette; his daughter, Laura Worley (Kevin) O’Neill of Peachtree City; his stepdaughters, Cristy (Greg) Bennett of Stone Mountain and Deanna (Sam) Grice of Snellville; his stepson, Mark Scarborough of Juliette; his seven beloved grandchildren, Caroline and Annie O’Neill, Chad and Emily Bennett and Samuel, Andrew and Hannah Grice; his sister, Gene Marion (Ed) Comar of Aiken, SC and several nieces and nephews.
