Janie Kinney Fortson, 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 20, 2017. A Memorial Celebration will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Dr. Rick Lanford officiating. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour. Janie was born in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Byron “Bud” and Blanche E. Kinney. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Janie was a Sales Rep for G. B. Sawyer Co., Phillips Brokerage, and Ferrero USA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Her survivors include, husband, Larry Fortson of Juliette; daughter, Brook (Jay) Hayes of Macon; son, Chris (Lisa) Fortson of Colbert; three grandsons, Isaac Hayes, Jake Strickland, and Tyler Fortson; brother, Joe (Cherry) Kinney of Theodore, AL; and two nephews.
