Jerry D. Williams, 73, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm. at Midway Baptist Church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Fuller officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday, September 14, 2014 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mr. Williams was born in Metter, Georgia to the late Allen and Mildred Williams. He was self-employed Ga-Co-OP for the Blind and was awarded outstanding vendor for fifty years of service and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Jerry loved NASCAR, fishing and enjoyed bowling. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Bess Williams of Macon, son, Derrell (Lisa) Williams of Lizella, daughter, Patty (Derrick) Duncan of Lizella, five grandchildren, Joshua Williams, Courtney Williams, Ciara C. Haugabrook, Anthony Haugabrook, Aaron C. Haugabrook, three brothers, Ben A. (Anna) Williams of Metter, Howard W. (Annie) Williams of Metter, Wayne E. (Pam) Williams of Metter and several nieces and nephews.
