Jimmie L. Chidester

Jimmie Lee Chidester, 87, went to be with her Lord on November 29, 2012. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Tripp Martin will officiate. The family will greet friends on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Chidester was born in Milan to the late Lola Stewart Conner and James Maston Conner. She was the widow of Paul Vore Chidester. She was a retired Registered Nurse from the Coliseum Medical Center. She served as a Sunday school teacher, pianist and helped prepare for mission trips. After retiring she became a member of Vineville Baptist Church and served the church in many capacities. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Marie Conner, Jane Conner, D.B. Conner and Helen Albritton.

Mrs. Chidester is survived by her children: James “Jim”(Pam) Chidester of Acworth, GA , Rebecca Owens of Houston, TX, H. Mark (Joy) Chidester of Frankfort, KY, Charis (Danny) Walker of Juliette,GA and Lola (Steve) Bedsole of Jefferson, GA; Grandchildren: Billy (Eva) Chidester of Hobbs, NM, Caleb (Savanah) Owens of Houston, TX, Jonathan (Stefany) Owens of Huffman, TX, Wes Chidester of Frankfort, KY, Tiana Leach of Frankfort, KY, and Bryan Meeks of Juliette, GA; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
