Joan Marie “JoRee” Wacter, 67, a resident of Forsyth, passed away April 20, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park with Reverend John Irwin officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends following the service.
Ms. Wacter was born April 6, 1959, to the late Alfred Eugene McDaniel and Helen Dale Crawford McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her lifelong love, Ken Rousey.
She worked at Kroger in the Accounting Department and retired after many years of service. She was a free spirited individual who enjoyed music, art, travel and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughters, Heather Wacter (Robert) and Sheena Buice (Eddie); son, Shane Rousey (Adrienne); grandchildren, Steven Holloway, Seth Mitchell, Layden Buice; sister, Marsha Moore; brother, Al McDaniel; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She was of the Methodist faith.
