

Julian B. Cofield, 89, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Greg Turner officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to service time. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201.
Mr. Cofield was born in Cadwell, Georgia to the late Homer and Ellen Cofield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Cofield, siblings, Alton Cofield, Neil Cresswell, Nolie Cofield, Anne Hutton, David Cofield, and Parker Cofield. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. Julian was retired from the State of Florida in the Water Management Department. He was a light weight boxer in the Army and he enjoyed playing poker and going on Poker Cruises.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna L. Hancock of Lizella, son, Glenn David (Ann) Cofield of Fort Valley, grandchildren, Donnie Hudson of Macon, Michelle (Dr. Jason) Smaha of Macon, Audrey (Justin) Raffield of Macon, Davie (Leslie) Cofield of Warner Robins, Elizabeth Cofield of Warner Robins, great grandchildren, Lesley Smith of Macon, David Smith Jr. of Macon, Devon Raffield of Macon, Sierra Raffield of Macon, Jason Smaha II of Macon, Heather Smaha of Macon, Cameron Webb of Warner Robins, Jazmin Cofield of Warner Robins, and Victoria Smaha of Macon, siblings, Gloria Mullican, Louis Vest, Troy Cofield, and Jenny Demonnie and several nieces and nephews.
