Lee “Tobie” Dickerson Howe, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, May 26, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, www.lung.org or the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
Mrs. Howe was born in Hazlehurst, Georgia to the late James and Alpha Quinn Dickerson and was preceded in death by her husbands, Olin P. Harris and Charles F. Howe. She was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church. Mrs. Howe was an artist and avid bridge player, playing with the Macon Duplicate Bridge Club. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include her children, Patricia H. Howson of Nashua, NH and James R. Harris of Atlanta; grandchildren, Laura A. Howson of Boston, MA, Paul D. Howson of Dallas, TX and Asaji H. Harris of Toyko, Japan; great granddaughter, Charlie Trcka-Howson; aunt, Rosa Quinn; and several nieces and nephews.
