L.H. Newton Harrison, 76, entered in the presence of his Savior and Lord on Friday, February 24, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers those that wish may make donations to The Exchange Ministry, 485 Oakland Dr. S.E., Calhoun GA 30701.
Mr. Harrison was born in Macon, GA to the late Lewis L. and Beulah Sapp Harrison. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War. Mr. Harrison was retired from the Department of Defense Civil Service.
He is survived by his wife of fifty six years, Voncile Rigney Harrison, three children; Melanie (Curtis) Cochran, Robin (Kim) Harrison, and Nathanael (Christy) Harrison, nine grandchildren; Jason (Amy), Rachel, Jeremiah (Amber) Jared (Laura) and Justin Cochran, Jessica (Rudy) Etheredge and Destin Harrison, Lucille and Lewis Harrison, five great grandchildren; Katie, Josiah, Judah, and Kylie Cochran and Joshua Cochran.
