Linda Sue Chamblee Mullis, 73, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 11, 2023. A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Brad Blackmon officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Georgia Prevention Institute, 1499 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30912.
Linda was born in Lansing, MI to the late James E. and Iva Davis Chamblee. She was preceded in death by her son, John H. Dixon, Jr. and a sibling. Linda was retired from Doctors Kent and Cohen. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed traveling and dancing. Linda was known to be the “mother-hen” to her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband of eighteen years, Keith Mullis of Forsyth, children, Melissa (Bobby) Sanderlin, Jonathan Mullis, Sarah Mullis, Cindy (Justin) Edwards, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, seven siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
