Lois N. Lewis Collins, 76, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 in a local hospital. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert Williams officiating. The family will greet friends 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests that donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Mrs. Collins was born in Columbus, GA to the late Olin C. Norman, Sr. and Louise Thelma Goodwin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Preston Collins; daughter, Bonnie McDonald; five siblings; and a step mother, Alice Norman. Mrs. Collins was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her children, Helen Joyner (Ben), Sharon Starley, Joel Lewis (Melanie); eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; siblings, Olin Norman, Jr. (Margaret), Donald Norman (Linda), Charles Cotton, Jack Cotton (Jean), Patricia Napier; several nieces and nephews.
